I trained for 5 years and got up to a 450/365/525 raw total nothing amazing I know, but I was pretty pleased with myself. Anyhow due to being a vagina and personal and financial circumstances I had to take a year off lifting. Now I'm itching to get back to training as I look and feel like a weak bitch. but i'm wondering will it take me another 5 years to get back to my total? or will muscle memory kick in? For the guys who have taken extended time off please share your experiences.

3-6 months is my guess but depends on a lot of things.
I'd say 3-6 months as well given your recovery and nutrition are in order too. Be patient and dont rush it... I came back after a 10-year lay-off and had quit a few injuries the first year due to not keeping my ego in check. Gotta' give your muscles, joints and tendons time to get accustom to the stress & heavy weight.
I took a year off lifting completely. Took me about 6 months to reach my old numbers. Since then I have completely crushed my old numbers.
I took roughly a three year layoff, not training at all for most of that. i started training again about 8 months ago and my first meet back will be on Oct.23rd.
i am doing this meet raw (a first for me) so I am not sure about my numbers in relation to my geared training in the past.
I guees the big thing, as has already been stated, keep your ego in check and take your time to prevent injury. Everything should fall into place.
