    I'm suck a lifting geek that I...

Turned down a "workout" with my girlfriend after work today because I just drank a pepsi max, took a b vitamin, and have been looking forward to going to the gym all day.

Yep, I just turned down sex for lifting.

    Oh that's easy.

The last guy I dated broke up with me because I was getting too heavy for his tastes. That was 4 years ago, however. Time for a change?

I quit WOW a couple months ago [permanently this time] -- best decision I ever made. Besides, raiding is incompatible ... so fine by me.
me: so this is the "pump" you speak of
me: I could never figure out what people were talking about

haha, awesome i was told i was getting too big (I was on a, yet unknown, 2.5 year bulk) and i had to go life because it was time to go lift, and i asked if we were done here, and she said yes I said ok, and started to walk out the door and she asked where I was going I told her I was going to the gym and she said if i walked out the door it'd be over. So I said ok and waved as I walked out.

My wife is used to me turning her down for basically any workout. BJJ, weight lifting or just a cardio session. When I get my mind set on doing any one of those things everything else is put to the side.

I've been married for 24 years. If my wife gives me the green light, "it's on!" Ask the married guys, you don't pass on those rare oportunities

My wife has never questioned a training session. Our second date I took her with me to the state powerlifting meet (I was competing) and she loved it. She's not really interested in lifting herself, but she fully supports it.

I really feel what makes it work for guys who never have a problem with it and guys who don't, is the guys who get into trouble are those who talk about it incessently at home. It consumes their home life.

I feel it's really important to leave the gym at the gym and when I'm home, be home mentally. This doesn't mean I don't prepare for training sessions mentally, but I don't run my mouth about it on and on.

I like your thinking bro. OR as long as its not leg day, a bj while you lift? Getting a good pump while gettin some brain? Yeaahhhh buuudddyyy

Reminds me of the classic Arnold clip

"It's as satisfying to me as, uh, coming is, you know? As, ah, having sex with a woman and coming. And so can you believe how much I am in heaven? I am like getting the feeling of coming in a gym, I'm getting the feeling of coming at home, I'm getting the feeling of coming backstage when I pump up, when I pose in front of 5,000 people, I get the same feeling, so I am coming day and night. I mean, it's terrific. Right? So you know, I am in heaven"

Exactly. Married 8 years, with 3 kids (5,3, 4 months). My wife even hints that there is a 2% chance I may get lucky, I am there.
