good work in here. you're the model of consistency and patience. I am not..lol
BWx10 x4 (188 lbs)
Kevin: Thanks and agreed. The gym I found is 99 for 3 months w/o any bs start up fees or anything. I have everything I need + good people to chat with after a session. Nice gem.
ljosaitis: A rad sadistic combo. If you look at the start of my log, front squats are all I used to do for the longest time.
Patz: Patient? Perhaps, but I'm always insatiable. Both are conflicting qualities.
Not a bad PR on PP, never really tried heavy PP singles before. Nice overhead lockout power. Was a bit surprised. If these were rubber/oly plates, I would have tried more. Dips would have been weighted if the weight belt wasn't broken. Looks like I'm bringing my chain an carabiner next time. Scouted a local hockey rink in the area...may lace up again. Expect to see GoPro footage if I do.
Awesome push presses congrats on the PR. I like oly plates too for anything overhead, its that extra confidence of "if I drop this I wont look like a complete asshole because it won't sound like an explosion of iron on the ground. The gym fee sounds really straight, every gym is stupid expensive up here and they try working you like used car salesmen with start up fees and extra bullshit. Keep up the good sessions.
Nice job on that push press. Wish I had high ceilings available at the moment. Push press makes me feel like a bad ass..lol
Played hockey for an hour and a half for the first time in about 6 years (since playing in HS/college). Considering this my speed leg day. Looks like it came back like riding a bike.
Wide Pull Ups - Super Strict

Single Arm Tricep Push Down
(a la Bryduck)
Kevin & Patz: Overhead strength is something I feel I have been neglecting. PP is an excellent power movement that I would like to continue to test maxes with. May consult you all with form issues in the coming days.
Single arm rope push downs done strict and a significant distance away as posted by Matt Bryduck up at the BB forums. Gave it a go and started feeling it a bit more at the crest of the triceps, perhaps due to the weight - perhaps to the added distance....twas an interesting take on a classic movement.
Lots of great work going on in here.
Good work on the push press. Bench coming back strong. Very impressive pullups, too! Wish they were that easy for me, lol!
Strong pressing man solid session. Happy to offer any advice or help in anyway man, bench is the one lift I'm confident on.
445x miss (assisted, mid ascent)
Leg Press calves
Put the EFTS knee sleeves on today just to crank out some work. Got a PR...neato!
Great job on the PR. Always a good day when you have to update your signature
VERY strong squats, bud!
Awesome job on the PR, squats looking real strong. How do you like the EFTs knee sleeves? Been thinking of grabbing a pair i'm just not sure what to get.
Very strong for 188 lbs man.
Best lifts: 615/475/660, Raw w/ Wraps
Huge case of the fuck-it's today. Planned on playing hockey, get to the arena, turns out they canceled the session. Benched in my jeans and t-shirt and called it. Happy with the volume, though.
Gaz: pull ups were sort of hard...had slight shoulder pains. Did some recovery and everything is a ok.
Thelion: thanks for reminding me. Just updated. Thanks for checking in!
Kevin: I like em. They are hell to get on, which is a good thing. You want em tight. I have a size 3xl I believe. I need to dbl check. Need talc to slide em up at times. I want to get Metal knee wraps. Sleeves are just convenient for training, but no fed allows double ply sleeves.
Nick: thanks! Bench is picking up too! Making slow strides.
265x miss (2 board)
Seated DB OHP
Felt pretty strong today. Broke an old ass bench PR. I'm pretty sure my bench reacts better to volume and heavy singles. Need to just grab a spot when I need to. Onward!
Good job man, September was a great month for your Total
Bench PR! The best kind always.. Especially after pressing just a few days ago. Keep moving those PRs man.
Nice pr! Inching toward 300!
Lion: Heard that. Lots happening this month. I feel great. Progress, march on.
Kevin: Thanks! I didn't feel all that bad monday. Friday's session was just sub maximal volume. Didn't really suffer fatigue.
Patz: Inching is right. I suspect I get 260, 265 soon.
Played hockey tonight for an hour and a half. First scrimmage in about 6 years. Fuck that was brutal. Hardcore foam rolling on the back today.
To piggy back on Monday's workout: warmed up with 20 pvc dislocates, 20 tornadoes. The dislocates are brutal, but really help.
with those 225x6s I'm sure you're close to that 265
Just a lil guy trying to be fit.

Weight 145, using ConjugateWod training methods to develop Crossfit-applicable strength with extra work for learning movements and conditioning.
Incline Bench - index on ring
Ljosaitis: Thanks. I'm thinking the same, too. I think next time I max, I bring the darkest coffee ever before the lift.
Fuck, I need to do more abdominal work. Fuuuuuuuuuuu

Same things happened to my posts too, hopefully it wont happen again. To answer your previous question about neck training in my Journal (that I replied to but my post is missing ) I wrap a Knee Wrap round a plate and rest it on my forehead for Neck Flexions and use a Head Harness for Neck Extensions.

Chris said he's hoping the site will be better in-general now after the update. I hope so, because this place is seriously dying. Good efforts in here, even though they're gone I remember some of them. LOL

Bench is really feeling strong these days. Being able to get a set of my current max is awesome. I have 265 in the chamber. I am on target for another PR. Weight is 193 today. Feeling a bit fat, but I'm enjoying it with the gains I'm seeing.
