The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

From here on out I will use weight totals for lunges, and it will be implied that all sets are [reps] per leg. Haven't done reverse lunges in a while- I miss these.

Squats were fast. 185-225 were exceptionally quick. First few sets of 275 were fast as well. Not bad for missing lowers in a while.

Ijo and Bulk Boy: You bet I will make quick work of this within a week or two.
Kong: Absolutely. I always see winter as a bulk season anyway, especially with snowboarding coming around the corner.

Video of the bench session tomorrow. So 245 went up quick, but I noticed that I'm not going deep enough with 265. Could be because I'm not used to that weight, or perhaps it could be because I noticed my shoulder acting up. Noticed it further in pull ups (thus going to BW). Regardless, 265 missed around 1-2 board, cranked out some 2 board presses right after just out of frustration.

What's a no money curl? You using milk jugs or something? A shout out to those who are too broke for the gym?

If your missing it around the 2 board area then i'd be willing to bet your not tucking your elbows enough bringing it down and in or your not keeping them tucked and as soon as you begin the press your elbows are flaring out and your dead meat from that position with flared elbows. I'll have to view the video to be sure but that would be my guess, it happens especially with maximal and near maximal weights.

I don't know if it's worth doing...figured I'd give them a go to attempt to aid in shoulder strength. I could be very wrong here.

I have my workouts finished, but I've clearly just given up on this site, guys.

I meant are you just bailing on the site altogether? Journaling elsewhere? This place is so dead it's getting sad. I've been thinking of just logging elsewhere. I had a journal started at crossfit.com forums but I didn't really like it for some reason. I like logging it somewhere though. I think it helps keep me on track.

    I didn't see you hit a 435 squat. That's BEAST.

I'm just stopping journaling here. I may start elsewhere. If I do, I will message you on FB or I will just update here. The community really just to the shitter here.

Plus, no one feels good about saying:

"blog talk yap yap yap.....hey check it out at wanna be big .com. yap yap progression yap yap yap"

The site's name is such a turn off it's not even funny.

As much as I hate bb.com I'm probably going to start a journal over there soon since they get about 10000x more traffic and have a pretty active powerlifting section.

The only thing keeping me here is the fact that I have almost 5 years worth of workouts logged. Is there anyway I can download an entire thread and archive it on my computer?

It's a shame because wbb had a pretty active community years ago but Chris did a pretty good job driving away most of the regulars. I also think it's kind of funny how many top names Atlarge sponsors yet only few of them post on the forums. Pro level guys that have q/a threads or are somewhat active in general tend to bring some traffic. Pretty much the only reason why I visit the animal forums is to check out Dan Green and Brandon Lilly's Q/A threads.
