    Butterfly Press and One Arm Row

    Could anyone throw some weight numbers out there for heavy duty lifting on these two? I've been advancing in weight on these two exercises a lot more often than my regular bench press and that seems weird to me since I'm obviously not going to be butterfly pressing 200lbs in each hand anytime soon. I mean if the "max" is smaller shouldn't I be going up in weight a heck of a lot slower? Up until now I've just accepted the fact that I'm lifting more and been thankful everything's going well but this is getting confusing...

    Congrats on the improvements. Lifting heavier should be everybody's goal.

    I don't know about Butterfly presses...But 1 arm dumbell rows are a favorite of mine. A good weight to shoot for on the dumbbell row would be 200 lbs for around 15 or 20 reps. If you like low reps, shoot for 300 lbs for a few reps. I know that's a LOT, but I've seen guys putting up these numbers and it's pretty impressive.
