    Why do my veins feel weird when I lift weights?

    I have recently started weight training in order to bulk up, because I am quite skinny. Today I was doing bicep exercise and when lifting with my left arm (weaker than my right) I could feel my vein tingle. It felt like it was being strained, but I was still able to do 6 reps of that weight. I did not stop the reps cause I was muscularly tired, but because it felt weird in my arm. Any idea why this weird feeling happens?

    If you got a tingly feeling, that is a nerve not a vein. If you have not put that much stress on your muscles before, there will be some new neurological stimulation and your body will feel different for a bit. Just be concious of it and if it keeps up, get it checked out.
