17.5-20 KG per hand for 8-10 reps.

Actually it's an interesting question. Everyone here talks about deadlift and squat and bench but never compare DB curls, which are one of my fav's...

    Because they don't really matter.

Ger YOU better every week. THAT matters.
    Squats work better than supplements.

    Agreed with Paul Stagg.

This is another reason it would benefit to have some stats / personal information in your signature / below your username.

With Monstar, and PStagg. Its truly not important. I would rather know how much you can Squat, BB Row, how many Pull Ups, how much can you do on Skull Crushers, etc. These interest me more than curls because that is all people do and want to know about. I really don't care about the ones above that much either.

Other than to find someone I "trust" here to compete with I don't see how people's lifts matter at all. This is the internet, I usually discount at least 50% of the sh!t I read as BS. Look at people's journals...you won't be getting any respect from me posting some good lift, but if you show yourself to actually know what you are doing and say something intelligent once in a while then you can earn respect. Save your lifts for your journal...other than progress or competitions I don't know why people care at all.

Go over to one of the other forum. They like their curls too, lol.

Funny thing is a lot of them have the following stats:

    curl max+bench max > squat max+dead max

    ..and I'm not even joking.

I've never seen anyone curl the big pounders with anything but cheat form. Everyone "claims" to be using strict form, but it rarely happens. And certainly not on a "max curl."

    Focus on larger muscle groups..

    LMAO@this thread.

Who tests a curl max? By the time I'm finishing up back/bi day with curls my arms are fried. Littlepunygirliegirl weights. I have no idea what I would curl "fresh" and intend to keep it that way. I think..*snicker*maxing out*snicker* on curls beforehand would be detrimental to my pullups.

curl max is just as important as dead/bench/squat max.........your only as strong as your weakest link. its important to know your maxes in almost all your lifts in order to determine progression, a few of you i disagree with but thats just my opinion.......i could be wrong.

    Slightly.

This would be a classic example of thread degeneration, if any moderators are watching. The question asked was how much someone could curl, not what the self-proclaimed experts think about someone who wants to know the answer to the above question.

In response to your question, and using the american method for measuring weight, I work out during my seated db curls with 45 pound db's.
