The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    New at Lifting, Help please?

So I had my first day lifting today, it was very difficult. I tried to do the routine my friend gave to me and I struggled. Im curouse HOW I should be lifting, my arms did not hurt, they just wouldent move, is this natural? Also I am considering getting on a Creatine supplement, anyone know anything of Creatine?

No, it's not natural. Your arms should be able to move.

Read the stickies and articles on this website. There's tons of info on training, proper lifting tehnique and supplements.

sounds like you couldnt move your arms because the weight was too heavy and you could not lift it?

    Soooooooo......how's it going?? LOL

    Sounds like you overdid it.

I remember when I picked back up after a year off. I totally went overboard and must have completely forgotten what it meant when you got home and your arms/legs/whatever "didn't hurt" but, just "wouldn't move".

It meant that by mid-afternoon the next day you'd be sore as ****....and by the day after that YOU'D WISH YOU WERE ****ING DEAD )

    Hang in there, champ!
