    Curved barbell?

new here, but only on my phone at the moment.

i'm getting back into a routine after injuries and summer vacation. The barbell on the squat rack has a symmetrical curve in the center now. Is it usable, or should I replace it with a straight one? We only have two. The curve is noticable, but very small. If it helps, it'll be a light squat day - 200-350lbs

Oh no. It was an Olympic barbell which I guess was left on the squat rack overnight with a ton of weight on it. It's now bent in the middle. I tried it the same day I made the original post with 2 20kg plates. On the down motion, it would roll 5 degrees down the back. I assumed that with more weight, it would roll more. I swapped barbells with the bench when no one was using it.

Different people squat in different ways. Some people may be able work with a bent barbell while others will not. If you're squatting that kind of weight you should be focused on what on the movement and form, not trying to keep the barbell from rolling off your back.
