A 60 year old gentleman said that he keeps his arms and upper body in shape by doing pushups to exhaustion first thing in the morning and right before going to bed every day. This is aside from his regular routine. He does have impressive arms and chest to show for. Any truth to this? Will this give me an edge aside from a regular routine? Thanks.
Sometimes increasing the frequency of body parts is a way to develop them faster than other body parts. Pushups arent too draining either. Increased frequency for lagging body parts or trying to specialize is an approach chad waterbury uses.
I still wouldn't do it every day though. But like I said, you'll only know by trying it. We can't tell you how your body will respond. We can only tell you if it's a stupid idea or not
