    Dumbbell Squats

    I am starting to do dumbbell squats, and my question is how much weight should I use? I hold the dumbbells by my side. Am I supposed to be carrying the same weight as if I had a bench to squat on? How much do you do it with?

    Wouldn't that be a dumbbell deadlift?

    Anyways, you need to use whatever is heavy for you. Then try to lift more the next time.

    I meant barbell, not bench. Like if I were to squat 300 with a bar on my back, would I use 150's in each hand is what I meant.
