Cheers bud - always the slowest lift to move, for me. I'll start feeling stronger in it once I can get 100kg for a double or triple.

    DE Upper

    Speed Bench:

    20xbar
    6x40(88)
    3x55(121)
    3x55(121)
    3x55(121)
    3x55(121)
    3x55(121)
    3x55(121)
    3x55(121)
    3x55(121)

    Plyo Bench:

    6x40(88)
    6x50(110)
    3x60(132)
    3x65(143)
    3x65(143)
    8x30(66)
    8x30(66)

    Decline DB Flyes:

    12x10s(22)
    12x15s(33)
    12x17.5s(38.5)

    Rows:

    10x85(187)
    13x85(187)
    20x60(132)

    ----------
    Summary:

    Reasonably easy day.

Was meant to be using 20s(44) on the Flyes, but it's awkward to get into position on a Decline, plus shoulder was 'clicking' again on the speed bench, so didn't want to tweak it.

Rows were pretty easy, was really surprised at how 85kg was flying up. It wasn't THAT long ago that I was rowing 80kg for 3 reps and struggling at that...

Big day tomorrow, lifting-wise. So gonna eat, eat, eat and get some good sleep.

And GMs are SUCH an under-used exercise. Lower back (touch wood) feels bullet-proof these days; where once I'd be paranoid when Deadlifting, Rowing and Squatting, now I can go all out and know that it's only strength that can fail me, not my lower back.

Feels much better knowing you can give it 100%

Cheers Tom! Next target is 5 plates, but it's a big leap from 200 to 220 and I anticipate less 10kg jumps lol.

Will spend time building up the reps in the 4 plates range, methinks. Build up some good muscle.

If I hit 5 plates before the end of the year, I'll be happy.

    Wide Grip Pullups:

    5, 5, 4, 2, 2

    Chins:

    4

    ----------
    Summary:

Nothing to knock the wind out your sails more than watching some skinny kid that can barely deadlift the bar crack out effortless pullups by the score, whilst you struggle to get a (messy looking) set of five, lol!

Happy with CG though - good PR and an easy one, too. Called someone over to spot, but only needed them for the hand-off, as the rep was easy. I have 100kg(220) in me for close-grip, I know it.

Rows/Pendlays were fun. Normal barbell row is SO hard compared to Pendlays, trying to keep that english out of the movement, lol.

Decline DBs were fun, too. Was meant to be straight sets of 25s, but worked my way up as was testing the setup (and looking after my shoulder). In the end, the 25s were relatively easy to do flyes with, mostly just the getting them into position that can be awkward.

    All in all, decent session.
