Cheers Mac! Just need to get the chest up to par and regular bench should skyrocket - tricep strength is there, just the chest that needs a bit more work, I reckon.

    Summary:

Front squats are a BITCH lol. 60kg was easy enough, but 100kg was threatening to pull me over, lol! Was meant to get two sets of 8 @ 100kg, but there was no way.

Practice practice practice. Will get there eventually. 100kg's a nothing weight, so it's just getting used to it being on the front rather than the back.

    ----------
    Summary:

    Good day at the office.

Had to fight down a lot of nausea throughout the entire session - didn't have a huge amount to eat during the day, so my pre-workout shake REALLY didn't sit right on my stomach.

The light band is a totally different animal to the mini-band, haha. Looping a single band under the bench gave plenty of tension to work with.

DB work really targets the chest quite well. Even 20kg dumbbells feel pretty heavy at those reps, so I think I have a pretty weak chest compared to my tris. Gonna keep hammering the direct chest work.

Rows were fun with all the nausea.

    Strict rows were very tough.

Aiming for a PR Squat again tomorrow, so hoping to get a decent night's sleep tonight.

    ME Lower

    ME Squats:

    15xbar
    6x80(176)
    4x105(231)
    2x120(264)
    1x140(308)
    1x167.5(368.5)PR
    Add Mini-Bands
    8x110(242)

    ATG Narrow Stance Squats:

    8x60(132)
    8x70(154)
    3x105(231)
    3x105(231)
    3x105(231)

    GMs:

    Seated GMs:

    6x95(209)

    6x95(209)

    Cable Pullthroughs:

    8x75(165)
    8x75(175)
    32x80(176)

    ----------
    Summary:

    Meh session.

Got everything done that was meant to be done, but concentration was off and form was shit all-round.

On that heavy squat, for example, I got down into the hole - then stopped! Completely lost concentration! Managed to get it back up, still, but had to muscle it up, which left me more sore than I should've been.

If it wasn't for all the lower-back work lately, I'd've tweaked something through that lack of focus.

Narrow stance squats were a bit off, too. Sinking them low, but legs felt stiff, so ended up going almost onto tip-toes right at the bottom?!

Rest of session, GMs etc, all went okay.

Seated GMs were, ahem, 'interesting.' Henceforth, they shall be referred to as 'Nutbusters.'

Gonna need an alternative to the Cable-Pullthroughs, maybe Barbell Hip Thrusts, as the cable machine maxes at 80kg (55kg on the machine then a 25kg plate hanging off it).

All in all, just glad to have got in there and got the work done. Even a poor session is much better than no session at all!

Thanks Coke! Goal is 4plates (180kg) by the end of the year, so an extra 12.5kg. Should, hopefully, be doable.

I know, right? Tbh, despite kicking myself, I got quite a boost when two guys who were incline benching 50kg opposite saw me loading up the plates for that last squat and one of them loudly proclaimed 'fuck that shit!' lol

True, true. Bit too harsh on myself last night, I think. Might not have been happy with form, but at least I sank it low and got back up again.

There's always another plate to add, after that. And then another, after that...
