Thanks mate. No point stressing as long as things are moving. Once I begin to plateau it may be time to look at things a bit closer.

    Day Sixty Three

    Chins:

    10xBW
    8xBW
    6xBW

    One Arm DB Rows:

    6x55 (25kg)
    6x66 (30kg)
    6x77 (35kg)
    6x88 x2x2x2 (40kg)

    Standing Press:

    6x44 (20kg)
    6x66 (30kg)
    6x88 (40kg)
    6x110 x2x2x2 (50kg)

    Summary:

Really warm day today and the two mile walk to the gym just about took it all out of me. Chins were good. Rows felt heavy. Press is okay now I've dropped 10lbs off it. Clusters went up okay. No time for leg raises as gym was nearly closing.

Walking back with gym bag and shopping nearly killed me off lol.

Ahhhh good ol' impromptu conditioning session! Those are the best kind haha, looking strong on the chins like usual. Dropping the weight on the press was probably a good idea, it should set you up for better long term progression. The pressing movements always seem first to drop when dieting as well.

Cheers mate! I walk to the gym and back virtually every session - it was just warmer today, so felt it more, hehe. I really should write it up as cardio, as it's 4 miles each day.

And I hear you on the press - it's definitely feeling heavy. Got a PR on the bench the other day, but it was tough and I had quite a lot of energy that day, so I'll be happy if I match it again whilst cutting.

    Diet for the day:

    Cals: 2196
    Fats: 69.8
    Carbs: 240.6
    Protein: 199.9

Think metabolism might be slowing down a tad to compensate - only 2200 cals today and I'm not feeling remotely hungry.

I think you are just getting used to the lower cals. When are you weighing yourself again?

Think you're right. Weighed myself this morning: 11st 13lbs. So 167lbs. 3lbs lighter than when I started. Lost 2lbs the first week, then another 1lb since. I'm happy with that rate.

I'm having a bit of a cheat day today - had dinner around the in-law's; it was steak and jacket-potatoes. Well over 1.5k calories just in that meal, including dessert. I'll be damned if I'm not eating anything for the rest of the day, haha!

Been feeling really drained today anyway, so will eat a little bit later on, even if it's only soup with toast, but will get a few shakes down me to make sure macros are still alright. Not gonna have anything fatty as I'm already well over fat today, thanks to that steak and dessert.

Will get back on the horse tomorrow.

    Day Sixty Four

    Bench:

    6x110 (50kg)
    6x132 (60kg)
    6x154 (70kg)
    5x176 (80kg)
    1x EPIC FAIL
    176 x2x2x2 (80kg)

    Dips:

    6xBW
    6xBW
    6xBW+22 (10kg)
    6xBW+44 (20kg)

    --------------
    Summary:

Sitting here with a headache, right now as a result of my own fail, haha.

Training on my own today, no spotter. On the bench, felt a bit weaker than normal on my set at 70kg. Was mulling over whether to just do my workset at 75kg instead of 80kg. Nah, go for the 80kg.

On the last rep of my 80kg set, I fail three quarters locked out. Try to rack the weight, fail, drop it, clipping my forehead in the process and crushing two of my fingers against the bench.

Got up, then once the room stopped spinning round and round, I reset the bar, put the 80kg back on and got my clusters out.

Started feeling pretty demotivated by the time I was doing my dips. So left, had a shower, 2 mile walk home and ibuprofen.

Just noticed that I've not had a deload in a good few weeks. Might be time for one. Anyone know whether I need to change anything about my cut whilst deloading or is it just business as usual? Ta.

Ouch....im sure that didn't feel to good. As far as the diet and your deload, I would just keep everything the same.

Eh weightlifting accidents are never good but at least you won't make that same mistake again. At least I hope you don't let it happen again haha.....Yea if I were you I'd keep the diet the same over the deload, if anything I'd just try to be a bit more strict and keep any cheats to a bare minimum.

Youll be smashing it after a quick deload.........not sure you need one but maybe a light high rep day would be good.

    Good luck bro!!

Good to hear you didnt hurt yourself Gazzy. Also like that you went back after it and got the clusters out.

Just continue with your diet as you were. You could also include some higher rep supersets or circuit training as conditioning.

That sucks Gaz. I would be terribly embarasses if that were me (no hate).

What about benching in the power rack. I do that all the time when I barbell bench. That or DBs.

Barbell benching without a spot is a good way to get fucked.

Ta mate - will just deload till the end of the week, very quick one. Just feeling achey all over. I know it's probabl;y the cut or I might be coming down with a cold, but either way it can't hurt to have a coupla light days, like you say.

Cheers Luna. I have a big lump on my forehead this morning and still have a big headache >< Not been throwing up though, so I'm sure it's not concussion.
