The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Day Sixty Seven

    Bench:

    10x88 (40kg)
    6x110 (50kg)
    6x132 (60kg)
    6x154 (70kg)
    6x154 x2x2x2 (70kg)

    Dips:

    6xBW
    6xBW
    6xBW+44 (20kg)
    6xBW+44 x2x2x2 (20kg)

    --------------
    Summary:

Short but sweet. Gym was closing, so had to leave curlz out. Shame.

Deliberately kept the weight on bench a little lighter today, 70kg instead of 80kg, as I wanted to work on form and get two work sets out. Felt great, shoulders back, more of an arch - started to even use a little leg drive, haha! Chest feels nice, really concentrated on working it.

Same with dips. Kept it lighter at 20kg as I didn't want to fail. Two work sets. Leant forward as much as I could to target chest. It's easy to tell if you're leaning forward enough on the dip station I use - you hit your chin on the little instruction panel!

    Diet Stats:

    Cals: 1948
    Fats: 63.2
    Carbs: 131.5
    Protein: 209.9

Carbs getting low now. Had to have a nap before I went to the gym

Refeed didn't happen today as meal out was cancelled. Will see how I feel tomorrow. Deadlifts tomorrow so it might do me some good to eat a little more.

That's the second journal in a row that had to cut their session short because the gym was closing.
Nice session. The dips and chinsa should be getting up there as the weight falls off you. Keep up the great work.

No gym session today. I've just suffered a very close bereavement. I have to go home to be there for my mum.

Thanks all. I'm going to be out of training for at least the next coupla days while I stay here with my mum and brothers.

It was her husband, my stepdad.

I'll check in on here each day, keep me sane.

Does it make me sad or dedicated that in addition to overnight clothes I brought my protein powder with me?

    Thanks for the thoughts guys.

It just goes to show that you are still thinking things through, even during times that can be more to handle for others and yourself.

Hope everyone else is dealing fine.

    Day Sixty Eight

    Deadlifts:

    6x132 (60kg)
    6x132
    6x220 (100kg)
    6x220
    6x309 x2x2x2 (140kg)

    --------------
    Summary:

Not been feeling like lifting the last few days, but I know that if I don't make an effort I'll lose all motivation. Went in, did some deadlifts. Not been eating or sleeping properly, so they felt heavy as anything. Plan was to do some heavier singles after, but didn't have the strength.

Going in again tomorrow before I go back round my mum's. Press day.
