Gotta stay at my mum's for a few days yet.

Checked out local gym and honestly, it had the shittest free-weights area I've ever seen. NO bench. NO rack. NO olympic barbells. Just a smith and dumbbells...

Luckily I know one in Loughborough that's half decent, so will try to get two or three sessions down there this week.

This week has made me sit down and think about my priorities. I'm giving my cut another three weeks, then stopping it wherever I end up. Thereafter a slow bulk with big emphasis on strength. Going to look for some powerlifting comps and start entering them. Time to put some purpose into my training.

    --------------
    Summary:

Cheers for the support, once again, all.

Met up today with an old friend who's been itching to start training. Went to the other gym in Loughborough. Cracked out a little session, not really on the routine, just a mish-mash of what I've missed the last few days.

Tore my trousers at the bottom of the very first squat. did the rest of the session with my boxers showing.

Chins were a little weaker - not done them in a while, plus I did them at the end of the session.

Other than that, just happy to have gone out there and got a session under my belt.

    Day Seventy

    6x132 (60kg)
    6x132 (60kg)
    6x176 (80kg)
    6x220 (100kg)

    Single Leg Leg Press:

    6x194 (88kg)
    6x234 (106kg)
    6x254 (115kg)
    6x254 (115kg)

    Calf Raise:

    6x174 (79kg)
    6x234 (106kg)
    6x293 (133kg)
    6x313 (142kg)

    ---------------
    Summary:

Don't ask me why, but felt like I had plenty of energy today. Might have had something to do with the Big Mac an hour before my workout, haha.

Happy with my deads. 160kg was very tough, it is my absolute max atm, no way I could shift 165kg.

Diet and routine-wise I've obviously been very slacking the last two weeks. Time to get back on it. As I've said, I only want to cut for another fortnight, so will make those weeks count.

    --------------
    Summary:

Nice short session, but felt tough. Cut is hitting me hard. Plus it was really hot in there today, giving me a pounding headache. The end is in sight though - two weeks and I'll start eating again.

Noticed on British PLing site that there's a comp in Sept. UK Open. I'm unsure what I'd need to do to enter it. Open implies that anyone can enter, if they're a member of the organisation, but I know that bigger comps tend to have qualifiers beforehand.

I just want something to aim for, because it'll give some purpose to my training. And being 5 months away means I can give it my best shot to get some big numbers in my first comp.
