The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Hah! Yes indeed - the Perry twins are absolute premier miniature sculptors. Don't think they work for GW anymore, think they have their own company don't they?

Single ply squat suits most use Titan.......best advice is not to buy it tight.

Get then best single ply suit you can buy in a bigger size, dont bother getting a begginer suit that you will only want to upgrade straight away its just to costly.

Learn the suit then tighten it up.......get used to it tight then tighten it some more.
Very interested in this discussion... Am following it very closely...

    Eighty Nine

    Stretching x lots

    Bench:

    10x45 (20kg)
    6x110 (50kg)
    6x154 (70kg)
    6x132 (60kg)
    3x182 (82.5kg)
    3x182 (82.5kg)
    3x182 (82.5kg)
    3x182 (82.5kg)

    Dips:

    6xBW
    6xBW+10 (5kg)
    6xBW+10 (5kg)

    Curlz for da Gurlz:

    10x22 (10kg)
    10x28 (12.5kg)
    6x33 (15kg)
    5x40 (17.5kg)

    Stretching x lots

    Summary:

A good session. Bench strength is coming back nicely. Next week I'll be back at 85x3 which is my personal best. From there on it'll be solid PRs each week.

Reason I dropped down a set on the bench was my elbow started hurting on the set of 70kgs. Wasn't sure whether it was injured or just wrong form on my part that set. The niggling seemed to ease off a little and I completed my top sets no problems. Kept it very light on the dips afterwards anyway, didn't want to make it worse if there was anything wrong. Also, got some more heat rub, will put that on my elbow when I go bed.

Been looking at Squat suits online. Pullum Sports seem to do a good line of Titan suits.

    http://www.pullum-sports.co.uk/cloth...at/cat_68.html

Unsure which to go for. I like the value of the beginner suit, but as Nick says I might outgrow what it gives me quickly. But then, now I have a job, for under 70 quid I don't mind if I only get a coupla competitions out of it.

    Day Ninety

    Squats:

    10x45 (20kg)
    6x88 (40kg)
    6x110 (50kg)
    6x132 (60kg)
    6x176 (80kg)
    1x220 (100kg)
    6x220 (100kg)

    Summary:

Another light squat session to get me back into things. Legs just didn't want to warm up tonight but still went okay. 100kg didn't feel too heavy. Next squat session I'll take it back up to 120kg, then start adding 2.5 or 5kg each week.

Cheers all. Woulda got more heavy sets in last night, but the gym was closing up by the time we were done.

Got a form question for you guys.

I recorded myself squatting last night and noticed that out of the hole my hips tend to shoot up first, then I end up almost GMing the weight up. That's definitely not gonna help my back get better!

Anyone else had this problem and solved it? What do you suggest, lower back exercises?

I' also noticed on the vid that I should really slow my descent, hehe. Though I think I was just dropping fast because the weight was quite light and I wasn't taking it seriously enough.

Work on the whole "post rear" chain will be needed along with heavy ab work to fix that problem.

You are trying to shift the weight to your quads which are strongest right now.

Try to raise your head first not your hips.....

    Bench is looking solid already!!
