The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Cheers buddy! And yeah, it is a bit of a pain lol. That's the thing with being such a short-arse; every pound you add makes a big difference to how you look.

Didn't go into the gym yesterday.

My mum's been ill for a while and she took a turn for the worse yesterday. I called the family around.

She passed away early hours this morning with us at her bedside at home.

Means my girlfriend and I have to move into my mum's house now, in the next town, as we're now legal guardians of my brother.

Going to the funeral directors tomorrow to sort stuff out. She was only 47.

    Cancer sucks.

OMG Gaz, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Cancer is such a vicious disease. I have lost so many family members from it, and my best friend is fighting liver cancer. My sincere and heart felt thoughts for you and your family. Stay strong my friend.

Thanks all! Means a lot to us.

Remember the 100mile Sponsored Walk that I've been talking about?

We've set up a Just Giving page for it now, so anyone can sponsor us at the click of a button.

    Thanks guys.

Had to move over to a different town now, to take over my mum's house. Need to find a local gym. However, soon as the will's sorted, going to get a rack to put in the garage. Not gonna stay off training for too long, I know how quick you lose strength.

    Update:

Might not need to get a home gym.... Found a very decent little one only five miles from home Very very small, literally one room, but it has a rack, 2 benches and loadsa plates. Was empty when I went there, plus only costs £20 a month.

Good to hear you found a good training location. Those little hole in the wall places are often the best.

    Back at it...

    Deadlifts:

    6x60(132)
    6x60(132)
    6x100(220)
    6x100(220)
    6x140(309)
    2x160(350)

    Rows:

    6x60(132)
    6x60(132)
    6x60(132)

    Leg Curls:

    10x15(33)
    10x30(66)
    10x30(66)

    ----------
    Summary:

As you can imagine, not been eating or sleeping properly the last week. Had to move all our stuff 20miles to my mum's house which we've now taken over. Took a few trips.

Wasn't expecting miracles today, just wanted to get in there and get some work done. 160kg on the deads felt heavy so I shut it down at 2 reps, even though I was originally going for 3.

Back on it with the food now, so next week I'm sure I'll be back to normal strength levels.
