Thanks Rileigh! I actually stuck 200kg(440lbs) on the bar earlier to see how it felt, but it wouldn't move off the deck lol. Give it a coupla weeks...

Haha! My actual name's Gareth, I'm sure that name exists over there too.

And our plates are ever so slightly lighter than yours; a 20kg plate is 44lbs according to the side of it, so that makes each of those 1lb lighter than your 45lb plates. If we assume the bar is 20kg also, that makes 4pps for us 9lb lighter than 4pps over there.

It's annoying, but can still use plates as a benchmark, we just need to realise it's a little lighter.

Do you have 25kg and 50kg plates also? At my gym we have probably 4,000-5,000lbs. worth of different kinds of standard plates: 45s, 100s, a couple old 75s, and all the smaller plates. Then we have a set of about 600kg. worth of ivanko plates 50s, 25s, 20s, and all the smaller ones.

Nice deadlift too. Should get 440 very soon.

The highest at my gym is 20kg, unfortunately. And cheers, I'm hoping the 440 will go up soon too - the gym record is 210kg(462lbs) set by one of the staff. If I beat that then I get my name on the wall. Should be easy to beat that when you see how much people lift on this forum.

Thanks Hayden, I'm hoping so! Check post above; new goal is 210kg or better to beat gym record. No strong people in my gym lol.

Good training partners one of the most important tools you can have. Weights and work ethic are the others. Congrats on the dual PR's. Make sure you repay him by pushing him too! Nice job Gaz.

    A Quick Bench Session

    Bench:

    6xbar
    6x40(88)
    6x50(110)
    3x60(132)
    3x80(176)
    3x95(209)PR

    Standing Press:

    6xbar
    6x40(88)
    3x50(110)
    3x60(132)

    ----------
    Summary:

Another quick Wednesday, as again had to take Mrs to uni. The last rep of 95kg almost stalled, but inched it up slowly and got it. Frustrates me how slow my pressing movements progress compared to my Squat and Dead.

Good job on the PR!!! It doesn't matter how slow your bench is progressing compared to your squat or deadlift, as long as its making progress. It happens, mine is the same way. I'm just happy that I'm making progress.
