Hearing about your novel amazes me, how awesome...I have rough drafts and scripts as well, something I enjoy doing from time to time.

    Good luck with that Gaz!!

    Leg day is ace.

Thanks everyone! And Coke - get something sent off; the way you comment on people's posts it's pretty easy to tell you have a way with words.

    Today's cardio:

    3 mile run.

1st mile, medium pace. 2nd, slow, 3rd, fast.

    Target of 35mins. Actual time 37mins 52secs.

    Bench

    Bench:

    10xbar
    10xbar
    5x40(88)
    5x60(132)
    5x72.5(160)
    7x82.5(182)

    Tri PD:

    10x30(66)
    10x40(88)
    10x50(110)
    10x70(154)

    Cable Curls:

    10x30(66)
    10x40(88)
    10x50(110)

    Lat PD:

    10x50(110)
    10x60(132)
    5x70(154)
    3x90(198)

    ----------
    Summary:

Really quick, easy and good session. Very happy with how it went.

And my training partner managed a single at 90(198) on the bench, which is a new PR for him.

Happy with how the strength is maintaining, despite the cardio. Soon as I notice it starting to suffer, then I shall start upping the calorie intake.

Cheers Tom! And no, unfortunately wasn't able to get any tickets, though one of my friends is going with his dad to watch the Football Final.

The Torch passed through the village next to mine a few weeks back, though, so that was something lol.

    Thanks Jay!

Bit weaker, if I'm honest. Alex warned me that there'd be an acclimitisation period, where my body would have to learn how to do both. I'm eating a lot more on Cardio days to try to compensate for the calories burned.

    Today's Cardio:

    Road Bike, 21.76miles.

    20miles in 1hr 41mins 22secs, followed by an easy 1.76 miles home.

Some killer, killer hills on the route, the kind where you're doing 5mph up, then 35mph down. Got through two bottles of drink.

    Traps feeling sore.

    Squat Day

    Squats:

    10xbar
    5x60(132)
    5x100(220)
    5x117.5(259)
    3x132.5(291)
    1x150(330)

    SLDL Sumo Stance:

    10x60(132)
    10x80(176)
    5x100(220)

    Leg Press:

    10x2pps
    10x3pps
    5x4pps
    3x5pps

    Abs:

    Crunches 3x20
    Ab Twists 3x20

    ----------
    Summary:

Happy with that session considering the 20mile bike ride on Sat, followed by a walk with friends in the countryside yesterday.

Took legs a while to warm up - 100kg felt very heavy. But everything after 100kg felt okay.

Noticed on the Sumo stance deads that if I bring my grip in very narrow, to the smooth part of the bar, then the motion feels a hell of a lot quicker and more natural. Only problem was grip, but a little chalk sorted that.

Enjoying the ab work - feel the core getting stronger on the squats - a lot less falling forwards when in the hole.
