The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    What's the best Bodybuilding or Weight Lifting Program?

    Hi All;

    I was wondering if you guys knew of any weight lifting or bodybuilding programs that have proven to be effective. I know that there are lots of bodybuilding books from instructors and such, and all of them claim that they'll make you build huge muscles; but has anyone ever tried any of them? And did they work good for you?

    Regards

    Wingmark

    All the programs that are discussed here kinda suck. We all just like posting about stuff that doesn't work.

    You must keep looking everywhere else until you find the right, perfect exact one. Don't try anything else.

    If you are new to the weight lifting game, I recommend Starting Strength. There are also a number of WBB programs for you to try. Don't neglect your lower body or heavy compound movements.

    Go to the top of the page and click the link for training programs...or better yet, start off with Starting Strength.

    You're not going to find a program that builds huge muscles. Lots and lots of calories builds muscle. The training program simply provides a tension stimulus. Most programs work as long as they are not ******edly stupid.

    My advice is don't look for the perfect program. Use something simple for now like SS or whatever. Offroad made a good suggestion.

    For purely bodybuilding, my vote is HCT-12 or DC Training

    But wouldn't that depend on how far along the lifter is? I know that DC is not recomended for anybody that isn't at least an upper intermediate.

    I think bodybuilding and powerlifting routines look identical at the beginning. As you progress, they start looking different as you advance into different goals.

    Yeah, fair enough.. I didn't realize the question was aimed at beginner routines. Although actually he doesn't state his experience, but given the question it does suggest a newbie.

    HCT-12 is perfect for a beginner in my opinion.

    No harm Daniel. I have no idea if he's a new lifter or not. I was just clarifying in case he was. Didn't want him to run out and start doing DC right off the bat.

    The best program is the one you believe in and the one you follow faithfully.
