    I hope my kids take an interest in lifting weights, I don't even care if they powerlift or not. But if they did then that would be even better, lol.

    big, lean, mean (maybe not mean) squat and pressing machine! But seriously, the new program seems to be working fantastic for you.

    My dream is that my son will be want to lift with me, too...and be a professional athlete. I guess one is more realistic than the other

    Ya, I have no delusions of my kid being a professional athlete. I just want him to have fun and feel a sense of accomplishment.

    I sometimes take my boy to the gym and it's great... he's 17 and it's good to get him away from his Xbox now and again! We were supposed to go the other day when I was up visiting all the family in Scotland but I've been under the weather and wasn't up to it!
    He does love getting out in the mountains though so hopefully we can do that in the next couple of weeks.

    It's great isn't it. I love taking my kids camping and fishing. I hope they are memories that will last forever for all of us.

    Bar Dips, the upper body squat

    Funny story,
    My dog loves to chase stuff since he's a working dog (McNab). Anything comes in our yard is toast; chickens, deer, other dogs and cats, even skunks (yuck). But today we had a whole family of wild turkeys in our backyard, and my dog just stayed on the porch and kept a sharp eye on them. I wonder why turkeys are different than anything else?

    Also, I'm pissed. I took all day off from any activities to work on my on-line class and get all the assignments done. Wouldn't you know it, the schools site went down and hasn't been back up all day. A complete day wasted sitting on my butt waiting for their tech department to get things fixed. Really sucks.

    The one positive is that the local Jeep dealer finally got in some 2012 Wrangler Unlimiteds and I'll be going down to test drive some. That should pick up my spirits, that and I had fun working out and my arms are sore. So it wasn't a completely wasted day.

    I think I timed the diet just about right, Summer is pretty much over and it's back to work for me tomorrow. Now I can eat a bit more and really try to drive my numbers and size up the rest of the year. I am glad I did the diet because I feel really good at 220lbs. Next Summer I'll do it again and hopefully be even bigger, stronger, and leaner at 220
