My training does continue, it always will. I healed the shoulder injury and just continued on with training. I am currently focussed on a couple of different goals.

Having obtained or surpassed all the Hardgainer lift goals (300-400-500) I am now on a quest to reach the last Hardgainer goal: 200 lbs bodyweight and lean. Also, since all my lifts are just above average, I am on a quest to make at least one of them way above average.

I am revisiting my 20 rep squat goal. I've always said that I wanted to squat 400 x 20 by the time I turned 50 years old. Well, I'm turning 49 next month so I better get my ass in gear. So, now it's a singular focus on the 20 rep squats for the next year.

I seem to work well with a different goal each year. The year I spent working on conditioning went really well and I continue to push the Prowler and run sprints. It's a habit now and much easier to maintain. Last year I focussed on the deadlift (my worst lift) and finally got it over 500 lbs. So, this is the 20 rep squat year...How that's going to mesh with the bodyweight goal is yet to be seen.

I need to lose around 15 lbs of fat and increase my 20 rep squat by about 100 lbs. I hope to lose the fat slowly enough not to impact the squat, but if push comes to shove, the squat will take priority.
Good to see you focusing on the 20 reppers. Starting was one of the best things I ever did, I'm now up to 20 reps of 330 and increasing

Sorry I'm not journaling much, just not a priority right now I guess. But I will try to update this more often. I started back with the 20 reppers with a really light weight and really focussed on form, depth, and breathing. I began the quest with 135 lbs, which is rediculously light but I believe in ramping up. I am now up to 250 lbs for 20 reps and the weight still feels light but the breathing is getting more difficult. When I started I stuck to three breaths between every rep, but now I am getting many more than that in the final 5 reps. To keep up my conditioning I've been pushing the Prowler a couple of days a week. To keep my strength up I've been hitting the deadlifts once a week with challenging weight but far from maxing out. Pretty simple stuff.

Damn, 250x20. You gotta be at least a little crazy to do 20 rep squats on a regular basis.

Off Road how many sets & reps do you do for Deadlift?

You could almost count 20 rep squats as conditioning haha, they get your heart going thats for sure
