Just the reps and a few heavy singles, then hitting the hamstrings. Strong approach!

Thanks joey, it was fun to get in, bust out some heavy work, and get back to watching my team lose the football game.

How do you like the 1 arm high rep rows for hypertrophy vs barbell rows?

I like them both the same. I'm using the dumbbell because I want to take my low back out of the movement after doing the deadlifts.

    Cool...

I think I may use them as my high rep set after my heavy set of BB rows.

110x15 is very solid rowing. I haven't done DB rows in a coons age, I used to hate them. Maybe I should give them another shot.

Sorry about your hawks. Last week I was very impressed with their game, though still had mixed feelings about them being in the playoffs.

Ya, I really wanted them to go deeper into the playoffs so they would get more respect next year, but realistically they aren't a playoff caliber team yet.

    3/5/1 - Cycle 2 - Week 1

    Bench Press
    195 lbs x 3
    225 lbs x 3
    250 lbs x 3

    300 lbs x 1, 1, 1

    Bar Dips
    BW+55 lbs x 6, 6, 6 +2 +2 +2

    Barbell Curls
    125 lbs x 6, 6, 6, +2 +2 +2

The bench was flying up today, but I did fail to lock-out the last single. The bar dips were suprisingly easy as well. Getting stronger for sure...

I don't think enough people factor this in when considering their progress. Sure, it isn't a quantifiable variable, but it is part of progress nonetheless.

Yes, it shows that you are getting ready to move the weight up.

Next cycle I will go for a PR attempt on the bench, not much, but maybe 5 lbs would be a nice start.

Very nice benching. A 5lbs increase is still a PR and definitely impressive on a 300lbs bench.
