Your work is still looking strong despite the lack of motivation. It must be the time of year because everyone is kindve in that mindset. Hope the new split helps you out. Keep at it bro.

Motivation wears off after about a month usually.

I lost my motivation a LONG time ago. That is the sole reason you see all the new commercial lifters give up by March. Motivation is BS, is basically what I am trying to say . It may spark you to start something new, but its willpower and consistency that keep you going. That is what separates us from "them".

Like the change of pace already. Going on maintenance calories should set you up well for your cut in March.

Thanks for the tips Cards. My favorite day is Friday because I'm home from work early and my kids are still at school. I have the whole place to myself and I can just focus on my workouts.

Thanks Brian. I'd like to blame it on the weather, but it has been like Spring here lately with temps in the mid 60s and sunshine.

Good point. Even when motivation to get in the gym is low, I find a way to snap out of it because it is part of my lifestyle.

Thanks HP, it really does feel good to pull from the floor again, it's been a while.

The change of schedule has already brought back some motivation.

I guess just knowing that I only have to go smash a couple of exercises has given me a boost. In fact, I felt so good after my deadlift workout that I went outside and played basketball with my kid. Today is a Rest Day, but I already feel the desire to get back in there. Ok, so, I lost track of you because you've had 35 different journals.

I look for the green little dot to see how people are doing and I haven't seen this because it wasn't green dotted.

That said... The work looks good!

Sorry about that. I switched over to HCT for a while, so I started a new journal so the HCT guys wouldn't have to read about the 5/3/1 stuff. I've gotten the HCT bug out of my system, so I'm back here to stay.

    Thanks Kiff.

    Funny story...

Size does matter... Now I'm not the biggest guy in the world, but I do carry some size at 5'-11" and 240 lbs. Today, while sitting in my office at school, one of those typical smart-ass 18 year old seniors started causing trouble in the clasroom. It was getting pretty heated between the student, teacher, and administrator. I was just listening and staying out of it, letting the others handle it...until he started making threats...that's when I stepped out of my office and you should have seen the instant change in that kids expression...priceless. I told him to calm down and go away...he said, "umm, okay." - lol

    Great pulls!

And loving the anecdote, OR! Wish my younger brother had a teacher like you.

I'm only 5'6'' so to get people to shut up when I stand up,. I'll need to get a pair of very long trousers and some stilts!

It had the desired result. He was just your typical California thug teenager. Thought he was a big man at about 6'-2" in a room full of women and kids. He kept saying he was being "disrespected." Respect is something you have to earn!
