I was wondering, but say if I have one serving of Oatmeal as a preworkout meal. It has 150 calories and 27 grams of carbs. Looking at this, a calorie is the fundmental unit of energy right? So why should I eat Oatmeal instead of say a pack of M&M's? M&M's has more calories but less carbs which would give me more energy right? Why should we even worry about carbs that are suppose to give us energy when it's actually the calorie that gives us our energy? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
m&m's = sugar
excess sugar = fat
excess carbs with no cardio or general activity wont make you fat, but will assist in the process of it..

Hey PowerBB, what do you think is better M & M's or Oatmeal? I know marathon runners who will literally put a handful of pure sugar in their mouths at mile 4, but they know WHY they are doing it.
Now in pain, only working out the walking sticks.
