The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Deadlift: form check

I have chronic back issues but it was ok. The suit is just weird. Like how it feels on my hips though. Any pointers please let them fly. I know I deadlift UGLY.

    Let me have it.

It didn't look that bad to me, but personally I like to drop my hips more. Your speed looked alot better on the second rep, but the lockout was a little rough. What kind of suit was that?

Looks solid.... maybe just watch out at the very top. It's awesome that you are driving your head up so hard through the lift, but if you go back too far at the top your knees will unlock and a really anal judge might red light it.

Good pull man. How much was that?

    Your wasn't bad.

I've recently been working hard on sitting back more and being a bottom squat position when I start the pull.

    How tall are you?

We probably have similar leverage issues, albeit you are a far better deadlifter than me.

It looks fine to me too. If I was going to nitpick it, I'd echo the comment about your knees coming unlocked and say to strive for a flatter lower back (really hard if not impossible to do on close to max pulls). How do you like the Crain suit for pulling?

Thanks guys. It was in a Crain suit. But I have never used one to pull so its weird. I felt odd and couldn't sit plus has my sciatica flaring up on the last set there with 675. Been a rough training cycle.

I thought it looked pretty good. Very strong.

Maybe take less time setting up and just pull? If I stay down at the bar too long I can never get my back flat.

Yeah I agree. I was trying to see if my back was gonna let up but nope. So I just grinned and pulled.
