The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Eric Lilliebridge- Heavy Squat workout 1-9-11

Haven't gone heavy on squats with reps in months, but considering I haven't been pushing my squats that hard lately, todays workout felt great!

Getting ready for my training cycle next month for UPA nationals in April.

Yes! I compete in all of my competitions raw. I prefer to do full power meets, but once or twice a year I like to do push/pull meets for fun. I lift in a federation (UPA) that allows knee wraps to be used for raw squats. Obviously the wraps do help quite a bit, but it's still a raw squat!

Impressive as always! One thing that really stands out with you is your form is always solid no matter how hard you push it. I really respect that.

    Mega squatting!
This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy - George Bernard Shaw
