The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

I lean back when doing face pulls mac. I think it's natural. I don't get crap out of them unless I remind myself before each set to squeeze my shoulder blades together and really squeeze on each rep. Contractions, like doing biceps work, is critical.

    MONDAY 10 FEBRUARY

    Deadlift (5/3/1 - C4, W2):

    5 @ 85kg
    5 @ 105kg
    3 @ 125kg
    5 @ 145kg - was supposed to be 3!
    3 @ 170kg - belt on, chalk
    4 @ 190kg - tired/WEAK!

Note: 10 days in Norway drinking too much (though training at that point) then working long hours and getting too little sleep (and not training) and it showed here!

struggled to get my belt done up onthe 4th notch too!

    Dorian Yates Rows:

    10 @ 70kg
    10 @ 80kg - Power Grabs on
    10 @ 90kg

Note: 1 second hold at the top on sets 1 & 2, 2 second hold on set 3.

    Face Pulls:

    10 @ 40kg
    10 @ 45kg
    7 @ 50kg

Note: different machine from the one I used in Norway last time and felt much harder (or maybe it was because there were only Royal Marines in the gym and no hot Norwegian chicks! )

Nice job even though you weren't feeling 100%. Sometimes these days are the most important, you get in and get the work done when you don't feel like it.
