There's nothing wrong with a pat on the back when it's deserved but I see so many trainers that are constant cheerleaders rather than being aggressive and working the coach over friend position. I'd rather train with someone who shot straight with me and told me everything I'm doing sucks (as long as it actually does) versus someone who gives me good feedback when I don't deserve it.
Couldn't agree more Mark! Luckily this guy tells it straight... not sure if it's just the way he is or because he has a military background.
