The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

As effective as squats? Nothing that I know of.
But there are other exercises that are very good like deadlifts paired with leg press.

I do lunges also. I can't do squats because I have a fractured T1 vertabre and a a/c seperation in my left shoulder that was kinda fixed with surgery. My collar bone still sticks up so I don't want to put a lot of weight on those two spots.

X2. Really any lunges are great but DB are definitively more convenient in most gyms. My personal opinion is that heavy ass walking lunges are superior to squats for overall leg development.

What exactly are your injuries as they may preclude other movements as well?

The main one is I had a grade 3 a/c seperation in my left shoulder but had it repaired with surgery but it ended up seperating again a little bit so my collar bone sticks up a little bit. Im just worried about putting a lot of weight on it. So far no other exercises I do have caused any problems.

You could try adding Pistols into your workout. There are various ways to make them harder if you can do a decent amount of them with a full range of motion at body weight
