The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Jay Cutler's Blog (diet included)

    http://www.jaycutler.com/blueprints

I found this very interesting for one reason...

Check out Jay's daily diet, here it is

Meal 1: egg whites, cream of rice, black coffee, banana

Meal 2: 10 oz of Eat to Grow chicken, 4 oz pasta with red sauce

Meal 3: 10oz of Eat to Grow filet, 10 oz of sweet potato

Meal 4: 10oz of Eat to Grow chicken, 2 cups basmati rice, with some "Guys award winnning" bbq sauce (sugar free, gluten free!!)

Train chest.....Muscletech Nanovapor prior to training

Meal 5:Post training: MesoTech Complete shake

    Meal 6: egg whites

How the hell does Jay maintain his size with this diet? I just dont understand it... Sure, genetics play a huge role in all of this, but genetics will only go so far.

I keep seeing more and more top guys and what they're eating, and its never anything out of the ordinary. I remember watching a video of Dennis Wolf and he was eating literally EXACTLY what I was eating during my prep with just a little more added rice per meal.

He's older. Your metabolism slows with age even with drugs etc.

Also, could be eating more and just not saying it. Everrytime you read something about what these guys eat, it conflicts. Sure, people change up their diet, but other accounts have him eating quite a bit more. Also, nice little muscle tech ads in there as well, so that could even be the purpose. Whatever Jay does, it is working great for him.

Drugs help with the size question. But that should be really obvious. Looks like he changed his diet though. Last time I saw him say he ate 2 huge burgers (like 4 patty burgers) before bed each night.

You cant derive total calories from the information presented.

Those shakes are a wild card. Also, some of the meals dont have portions.

You need to look at the body as building a house. It takes alot of material to build the house, but once its built it takes less material to maintain.

And it goes to shit quickly if not properly maintained. Jay was eating huge amounts of food(reportedly) just a few years ago to maintain his physique. As mentioned, portion sizes and total calories aren't mentioned, so he could be housing a lot.

In his post for today he's having a 12 oz steak before bed. Thats more like what you've seen him do.

    Very true Allen, good point.

Still though, the more and more I read, the more I see guys that really arent eating as much as you would think.

Then again, after I read his diet from yesterday, that looks much more like what I would come to expect from him. 10-12+ ounces of meat and 2 cups rice/ 14 oz baked potato for the majority of his meals. Thats some big time eating.

So I missed out on a HUGE opportunity over the weekend...

I just got a new job recently and I met a guy who is big into bodybuilding there. He actually competed in the same show I recently did 20 some years ago. Well he came into my office on Friday afternoon and asked me what I had planned for the weekend. I told him I was working (I work weekends for some extra cash) and he says to me "damn, my buddy owns a supplement store down in South Dakota and its his 5 year anniversary since its grand opening. Jay Cutler is a friend of his and is going down for the weekend to hang out and sign autographs." He then went on to say that the last time he was down there Jay had been prepping for the olympia and he got a glimpse into his eating habits. He said every 2 hours on the dot it was 2 chicken breasts and a baked potato. He got to hang out with Jay all day, go out to eat with him and just shoot the shit. Then he tells me he didnt want to go by himself (his other buddy's backed out last minute) and wondered if I wanted to make a weekend road trip down there.

Unfortunately for me I had no one to cover me last minute.... So I had the chance to chill with Jay Cutler for a weekend but couldn't make it work... FUUUUCCKKK
