The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

I'm attending the contest. My GF is competing and friend and colleague Shelby Starnes will be in. He barely new light heavyweight by 1/2 pound. He looks phenomenal. Should be a great show.

Really anxious to see how Shelby looks. Going by his Facebook updates this will be his best show to date. I know he's dialed in for sure.

I didn't say we were working together, he is working on his own now and sponsored by another website we all know. I correspond with him thru email as I do other experts.

Understood. In my opinion collegaue means someone you have a working relationship with (ie. coworker).

Dave Palumbo saying Shelby should take the light heavies. Awesome job. Couldn't be happier for a real nice guy. He has done a great job slowing adding some size.

I hope Shelby rubs this in Phil Hernon's face.

Phil told Shelby over on ProMuscle awhile back that he thought Shelby went way too overboard on the weight gain and that there was a bad chance he'd be able to bounce back and come in as shredded.

    HA!

Outside of Phil's clients, does anyone care what he says? I'll read Shelby/John Meadows posts over Phils any day.

From what I saw at pre-judging Shelby should definitely get first. He has made tremendous improvements from last year where he placed 5th, his first time as a light-heavyweight. He is much thicker, bigger, and still shredded.

I'm sure you've seen this Conor, Dante posted this up before last year's Jr. Nats. This guy (dont know his name) was catching crap over on RX muscle then for being so fat. Dante was commending him for having the balls to get this big. I thought about that thread as soon as you posted this pic of him and coincidentally Dante had it bumped over on PM.

I do remember that. The guy looks good. Has some serious muscle and shape to him. I think palumbo said the guy is a future pro.

That is Kevin Jordan. He absolutely deserved the overall. He had the while package; size, conditioning, symmetry. Seeing him against the other class winners, shelby was the only one who gave him a little run but just didn't have enough size in his upper body to beat Kevin.

The only class where there was poor judging was the middle weights.

So excited Jillian Reville won a pro card. I have known Jillian for a few years. We went to the same gym here in Manhattan. She moved out of the city about a year ago. That girl is a machine in the gym, spot on in her diet, and has sick conditioning. To top it off she is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. PJ trains her.
