2011 NPC Rhode Island Championships 6/11/2011

‎2011 NPC Rhode Island Championships is 2 1/2 weeks away at Twin River Casino, in Lincoln Rhode Island!!! It will be a NATIONAL QUALIFIER!
Evan Centopani will be guest posing. Evan is coming off of a 1st place at the 2011 Flex Pro and a 4th place at the Arnold.
IFBB Pro Lori Steele will be guest posing.
Get ticket and entry info for this National Qualifier at www.bevfrancis.com

I'm from RI and will definately be there all day. Anyone else from the area??? It would be great to get a group together! Definately will be hitting up a steakhouse between Prejudging and the Nightshow!

To Compete or not to compete....

I'm getting requests to compete in this show...
Its less than 2 weeks away... I'm 35lbs heavier than my competition weight from 3 weeks ago... started my bulking already.
The cost of watching the show is pretty much the same as the cost of competing....
Should I diet for 2 weeks and give it a shot?? or just go watch and enjoy the show???

For me, I would not compete unless I felt I had a good chance to win.

    I'm with Chris.

Unless you are able to pull off some crazy ass cut, you're going to look like shit onstage with just 1.5 weeks to cut down, right?

So here's the plan... I am officially pre registered for the show. So the diet is ON! 1.5 weeks out.... Started 2 days ago, went from 5K cals a day to 3K. Starting weight was 255. Today I was 242 after cardio.... lots of water weigth right there.

Here's the interesting part... If i show up at the show with the ability of winning the supers... according to my fellow buddies/competitors... then they pay for my entry fee and i compete as a bodybuilder. If i show up and look like shit, i have to pay my entry fee, and i have to compete in the new "Men's Physique" category.... basically the abercrombie model category in board shorts.... We bodybuilders call it men's bikini so in no way would it be a good thing.....

    Here's to the CHALLENGE!!!

Please don't compete in the fitness.... That is the WORST idea bodybuilding promoters have ever come up with...

Assuming that you are going to manipulate your water/sodium next week then it sounds like you could come in close to the same weight/condition that you did a couple of weeks ago. It is a bit risky but if it is a local level show then typically the SuperHeavyweight division is not going to be filled with super-shredded guys.

The down side would be that this contest could throw off your prep for upcoming shows if you have anything planned for later this summer.

Either way I am looking forward to seeing your prep and hope that everything comes together.

Fortunately, nothing planned till next year or later... I'm going to put on some solid size and thickness and compete on the national level. Thanks for your support Tom. I can throw my diet up here everyday if you guys are interested.

Is your protein pudding something store-bought or something that you make?

I remember the Stallone protein pudding a few years ago, actually thought that it tasted pretty good.

Its a meal replacement that is super super thick... and I add nitrean + to it to get enough protein without increasing the carbs too much. Its Nature's Best Perfect Rx.

Are you drinking a shake or eating in the middle of the night? Or is that last meal before bed?

This Picture was from May 26th. I had no intention of entering another show for the next 2 years at this point.

these pics from Sunday May 29th. 13 days out from the show... this was the day I made the bet to do the show with the guys and girls joining me in the pictures.

I'll post my contest photos from tomorrow once they are posted up on MD.
