What muscle is this and how do i exercise it?

What muscles are used when you thrust your pelvic area forward and suck your ass in? anddd what exercises can i do to hit these muscles?

The reason im asking this is because I have a very bad back, and my previous job made it worse. I now have very bad back pain in my lower back, closer to my tail bone. I also noticed that I have poor posture. my back curves like the letter C. This makes my butt stick out and my and stomach look larger than it really is.

I'm in fair shape. I was able to run 11 miles the other day without stopping. The only thing that seems to ease my lower back pain is when I clench my ass and thrust my waist forward, which forces my back to appear to have a more natural curve.

Thanks! Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like tight quads. stretch quads and work the shit out of your abs and glutes.

squats, deadlifts, and back bends dont seem to be getting just the right motion... mmm back bridges seem to help, but do any of you guys know of an exercise where i can add weight that has that range of motion?

To fix a bad back, you need to develop the back muscles and abdominal muscles, and stretch.
That's exactly what you would do if you were in rehab for any back issues.
I guess you could try some hip thrusts. That would come closest to the motion you described.

what you have is lordosis.... your lumbar spine is extra curved...
best thing for you to do to help it would be hyperextensions, stiff leg dead lifts, supine Hip Lifts.
Stretch your hipflexors as much as possble and FOAM ROLL YOUR QUADS, HIP FLEXORS, AND I-T BANDS!!!!
