Thanks for the kind work fella's!!

Raw. BW = weighed in at 236, was 240 by the time i came to lift

    Squats:
    425...
    440...
    465...

    Bench
    290...
    320... fail
    320... fail

    laughable benching

    Deads
    465...
    506..
    525... PR

    What I have learned -
Squat - squatting wide is killing me, second attempt I had to bring my stance in and dip it at the bottom or i would have went splat, same for third, although one positive is the bar never rolled today, squatted out of a monolift instead of stands too, still walked it out but my god its weird!

    Bench-
Need to bench with plates under feet and re vamp my form a bit, getting to a comp bench and having to change too much

    Deadlift-
finally progress, only 5lbs but i had another ten in the tank which is a real shame! just picking attempts better...

total - dont even care haha, it was backwards from last comp and best so its irrelevant, alot of work for the nationals in 10 weeks today to come, emailed josh bryant, see if he replied or has spaces for online training and if its affordable im keen to hand my training over to someone else, its been a long time coming, fed up of bad days, just real pleased for deadlift

I don't know what a good bench is Jay but I don't think that many people would call that laughable... try not to be too down-heartened fella! Great job with the DL buddy!
How much does an online trainer cost?

    Bike

    20 mins, HR @ 110-130

foam rolled hell out of myself and left...

returned to the gym to try and speed up my recovery so I can start hard again monday and really get stuck into this meet training again, I get really bitter and disapointed about bad meet performances as you can tell, 3 on the bounce now, 4th time lucky ? gonna take some real character to pull it together for this next national... maybe it was meant to be this way! I 'will' return with a vengeance and expect to see some changes in here!

Heard a great quote from mark bell the other day aswel, was along the lines of everybody, including mostly younger/newer lifters such as myself, always worry about getting stronger here or there, what happened to just getting better? better at the movement and execution, made me think! thought i would share!

Exactly dude, these days I am applying that very mindset as I lift and leaving my ego aside for now...there is great value in being more in tune with where some of the leverages shift while lifting, etc.

It is going to be "sky's the limit" for you Jay in the months ahead.

Jay, you're doing good man. Those are still big numbers and you know you've got a lot of room for improvement. It seems like you're always picking up new tips so it's just a case of really dialling it in now and excelling.

It's going to be good watching you put it all together over the next 10 weeks.

yep, i think alot of people need reminding of it occasionally, its quite a refreshing thought to be honest, lbs can be added to a lift just through little changes in a PL'ers case and bb'ers can get more out of less weight
