    BB Shrugs: Front or Back?

    I prefer behind the back.

Is there any reason why one method may be better than the other?

Any arguments for DB Shrugs also welcome.

I believe I once read that dbs and behind-the-back were pretty close in effectiveness. I myself like dumbbells. That's on the rare occasion that I work traps.

I dont really do any shrugs but if I did I would prefer a cambered bar definitely. In front too. Behind the back I dont like.

I'm not particularly a fan of behind the back. I just go with BB or DB. abs, 9 sets seems a little overkill for traps..but if it's working, more power to ya.

don't have heavy enough db's so I use a bb, and to the front.
