The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Al Davis 670lb Bench

Was awesome seeing this live and meeting the guy. Strong as hell, a lot of fun to watch bench. He had no idea how much he was benching until you see the fist pump at the end. That was his 2nd attempt, I believe his 3rd was 690, missed it. Was going to go for the record on 4th attempt if 3rd went well. The guys a beast.

He's been a very good raw bencher for a while, now he is absolute top tier. That's a great lift! He was a bodybuilder, so I am glad he is now finally training like a powerlifter. I am interested to see if he can get the record.

    Incredible bench!! Very impressive indeed.

Make no mistake, Al is using VERY good technique. His lats are super tight, elbows have a slight tuck and stay there when he begins to grind towards the top and he's driving hard off his toes. It's a different technique than what your going to normally see but it's really working for him.

Hopefully he keeps going like this and breaks the record

That was just a plain, solid, no frills powerful bench. Damn but that was a strong lift!
