    Deadlift plateau

Hi, I have been stuck at a 550 deadlift for almost two years. I pulled 550 in the gym raw w straps about 11/2009. My best meet deadlift with a suit is 551. I have a meet in about a month and hope to PR, but am not progressing at all near what I expected. Whereas my bench and squat have gone up a lot. I cant fix much by this meet but am looking for any ideas or programs people have had success with to impliment after this meet.
MY biggest problem technique wise is being too bent over at the start, making it difficult to lock out.
    Thanks for any help.

Post what you've been doing for your deadlift training, kind of hard to help you without that information.

Without that information, the best advice I can give you is to train both stance (sumo and conventional) no matter which way you pull, and hit your weaknesses really hard.

Right now im leading up to a meet so I did 2 weeks of 5's, 2 weeks of 3's 2 weeks of 2's and Im supposed to do 2 weeks of 1's but I think straight weight has ran its course so I did a heavy single w chains. And am gonna do reverse bands or against bands for my last ME day before the meet. After the meet if I dont figure anything else out I'm gonna run a Josh Bryant DL program.
Ive ran the Ed coan one on two different occasions, and didn't pull a pr at the meet after. I even tested w 550 for a clean rep, ran the cycle based on a projected 575 and went to the meet and got 551 and missed 560.

Josh Bryants programming has worked wonders for me man. We've been working with a 5x5 scheme on rep weeks, then work heavy singles for heavy weeks. Block pulls, rack pulls, deficit deadlifts, and good accessories are going to get that deadlift moving in the right direction. I went from 505 max to an EASY 550lb pull at the meet, everyone said I could have pulled 600, which is my goal for Decembers meet.
