24 days out. Probably want to be tapering down at this point.

If you are about three weeks from a competition I would look at your technique to see if there are any minor adjustments to be made, and align your training so that you show up to the meet fresh and ready to push yourself to the limit.

You are not going to get any stronger in three weeks - so the main objective should be to mentally and physically prepare yourself to perform at the event.

Rest and recovery should be you primary focus. Focus on execution and performing the lifts to your feds standards. Tighten that walk out up. A tight walk out can add a few pounds to your squat.

What fed are you competing in?

I think it was Louie Simmonsd that said, "you can't do much to get stronger in 3 weeks; but you can sure do a lot to get weaker!". Be careful of doing to much different in the closing weeks. Agreed that rest is more important than trying new things at this point.

What exactly does tighten the walkout mean? My back? less steps?

I'm on the "just don't mess it all up" bandwagon here....

set up your training for the next few weeks to give yourself some rest, maybe take some openers at a week or two out depending on how you recover..... start tapering off on the auxiliary exercises.

As for the walkout.... I'm no guru on this, the last time I walked out a heavy squat was 2007..... but I can see what others are saying... look at an Ed Coan walkout. He takes one good step back, maybe two, then one leg moves out to his squat stance. Back tight the whole time. When I was competing in a walk out and squat too deep federation this is how I tried to do it..... again, not that I'm any guru on this.... just my $0.02

Gym PR's... don't count ... time to do another meet!

To be safe I would plan on sinking you squat another 2-3 inches. I did 3 usapl meets this year and never saw one passed that wasn't well below parallel. Just an FYI. Good luck at the meet!

As for the walk out.. slow it.down. like barzeen said. 3 steps and done
