    a couple questions on BW exercises

    how often is it safe to perform them without over doing it? every training session i start off with a set of as many pull ups or neutral grip pull ups as i can and i get anywhere between 11-15 and on back days my workout basically consists of going back and fourth between sets of 3 of deadlifts and sets of 5 chin ups and every few sets i'll throw in a set of bent over rows. is this over doing it?

    and another question one of my training partners is a pretty heavyset guy and he cant do a single pull up/chin up and he always asks me for advice.. should he do this assisted pull up machine or lat pull downs.. he refuses to do bent over rows or one arm rows

    I wouldn't do it more then 2x per week. You won't recover. As for you bud. Have him do reverse hand pull UPS with a ble band.
