The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    1501 @ 209 (raw + wraps)

Not my best performance by any means. Making weight was alot harder, body just did not want to drop the fluid. Morning weigh in, weighed in 94.9 in the 95kg class.

Squatted 255kg in wraps, benched 125kg, and pulled 302.5.

Squat would have gone better if I hadn't screwed my opener, this was meant to be my second with a 260-265 third.

This was meant to be my opener, 3 weeks out I hit two singles on 132.5, So I should have been good for 135-140... nothing. THis was a second attempt, left it there.

I thought I would get some redemption on this one... sadlt not, warm ups felt great, I was expecting to blast this weight, I did 44lbs more at nationals wich much greater ease. This was it.

I'm not going to beat myself up over it. My mission goal was to make this class and to win it. I did both of those. I was outclassed in the 110/242 class my a good measure and it meant a lot to me to be one of the class winners.

I am competing again in just over a week. I WILL smash the fuck out of 1600 raw. I am eating right back up to 220 and above for this one and there will be no holding back or amatuer mistakes.

Being a strong teenager means nothing.

My wrists hurt, but some people don't have wrists to be sore. My knees have tendinitis, but some people don't have legs to get tendinitis in. I seem to be going backwards with training, yet some people can't even walk let alone lift 400 pounds on a daily basis.

Dust out the vagina, and keep on lifting.

I was down to about 216 as a general lean down anyway. I thinkt he combination of reduced calories over a time period as well as the sudden drop where the worst combo possible.

cityalive, totally get your ass in a meet.

x2. Also the atmosphere of the meet itself, something about it just jacks you up. I always feel tired/shitty by the time deads roll around but the second I step up on the platform everything changes and I end up with a PR.

If the pull breaks off the ground I will get it. That's my sticking point. Just a sloooow long painful lift.
