The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Dry lips?!

Over the last two days my lips have dried right out. I don't know why as nothing has really changed, -except I've increased my protein intake a bit and doubled my Glutamine intake from 5g to 10g but otherwise most things have stayed the same.

I don't like using chapstick as I believe the body gets dependent on such things and my lips rarely chap, especially to this degree. The only possibility outside of diet I can think of is sun but I don't remember being out in the sun where that could happen and my nose isn't burned.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    -Chris

Oops, I've also bumped up my Vit C to about 2g a day.

Can't help you out any, but this happened to me as well a couple of weeks ago. It lasted for about a week. Does anyone know why this is?

Dehydration makes sense except I always drink at least a gallon of water every day so I don't think that's the answer in my case.

Yeah I'm sucking the water down pretty good too. I've even upped my water intake since the dry lips started to try and fix this prob.
    Thanks

Nope - well since they've been chapped yeah. I know it makes it worse but I can't help it.
    Thanks

i can't identify a cause for you, but I can recommend 'Aquaphor'....its not addictive like Blistex, and its three times as effective. The only problem is unless you get dermitologist samples, you will have to use a container that isn't easy to carry around....excellent stuff though, grade 'a'.
