lol man just ignore it. I like being bigger and stronger than most guys so I let the the ego lifters carry on while I improve myself. I lol when I see people doing invisible board press or invisible high box squats haha. They both seem to be very popular at commercial gyms.

    This.

But what really pisses me off is when said people teach other people how to_____________ . However, I use that as an opportunity to correct bad form, debunk improper training, instruct properly, and potentially make money.

Only when they come over and try to push off their unsolicited advice on me.

Thankfully most of these people have left my gym now and I can train in blissful peace.

If it's seriously causing you physical discomfort, I think you've got bigger fish to fry than someone doing half reps bro. Who gives a shit? If its your training partner, help him, tell him what's up, if he takes your advice awesome, if not, find a new partner.

this. I do partial reps semi-frequently. I'm sure there are guys at the gym that say the same about me.

I did rack pulls from the knee cap on wednesday and worked up to 725. Everyone in the gym (24 hour fitness) was staring. I guarantee 90% of them were calling me out on my partial rep in their head. Fuck them.

For those that you *know* aren't doing partial reps and are just doing shitty form, it bugs me, however, ever wonder why? Shoulder/pec injuries can be a reason to do 1/2 ROM bench presses. Knee issues can be a reason to do 1/4 squats (although, it's much less stress on the knee to hit full depth).

Plain and simple: I just ignore it.

Yes, it annoys me. Often I will encourage them to use a full ROM.

Well, I agree on the lines of partial reps being great assistance exercises if it's somewhere along the lines of rack pulls, lower half of the squat to train to get out of the hole, rack presses for bench, etc. In this case, I'm referring to someone who, on bench, unracks the bar, goes down 4 inches, one arm before the other, and with piss poor form barely puts it back up, then brags that he got a new max. Idk, it annoys me and can sometimes my teeth cringe, but in the back of my mind, I know he's doing more harm than help in the long run.

On a side note, new max deadlift today at 365.

I have adopted this mentality in the last 6-8 months or so. Def best way to stay on target. Ignore the morons even though it is difficult at times
