    Squat / Deadlift Accessory - 12March

    *ralgex
    *rolling w/ PVC pipe
    *static stretching

    Parallel Box Squat
    w/ 3" foam pad
    Barx10
    154x10
    briefs
    242x5
    352x3
    add ~100lbs of chains
    352+C x2 (x4)
    418+C x2 (x3)
    484+C x2

    Leg Press
    5x10

    Lying Leg Curls
    3x10

    Standing Pulldown Abs
    3x15

Notes: Still not fully recoverd from the illness that I have acquired since Thursday but I was itching to train after missing Saturdays session. I was floored on Saturday between the heavy squatting on Friday night and being sick so training of any kind would have been a crappy idea. Instead of training I had an Epsom salt bath as hot as I could handle and dumped a load of Olbas oil in to see if it would clear my sinuses a bit. I couldnt even smell the eucolyptus but I knew it was strong because it was stinging my eyes, lol.
Anyway, the squats felt heavier than they should have today. There was a bit of plopping to the box on second reps and there wasnt much speed but still, I got work in.

I love the guys who walk around with their arms sticking out....and have absolutely no lats. Always good for a laugh.

Good work on the deload buddy. I want to see you blow my numbers out of the water soon!

    Thanks a lot guys..

I have been nursing a lower back/right hip problem. Dunno WTF it is but it has been pissing me off. I squatted on Friday night and in the vids I could actually see my ass shift to the right as I desended into my squat. I also seemed to have zero core strength and I really had trouble staying upright. I have been stretching and PVC pipe rolling like crazy and it all seems to have loosened it up a bit.

    Squat / Deadlift Training - 16th March

    *ralgex
    *PVC pipe rolling
    *static stretching

    Squat
    Barxsome
    176x5
    briefs
    286x3
    396x3
    484x1
    suit w/ straps down(leviathan)
    616x1
    straps up loose
    660x1
    660x1

    Hypers
    4x15

Notes: Left pretty unsettled about my low back and hip. Hopefully something clunks back into place. I have had a lot of loud pops from my lower back when lying on the ground and cranking my legs across in a kind of trunk rotation. Fingers crossed. I will see a chiro if things are no better this Friday night.

This was the first night in our new monolift too. Its pretty awesome. It was also my first rattle in a leviathan. I am struggling so badly with depth in the jack so I was offered a leviathan and I took it. It is like it was made for me. I like the higher cut leg openings and I can actually feel the bar on my back with the thinner straps. I didnt give it a fair run though although I didnt have any knee wraps on for the 660's which is a first, lol. It is much tighter than my jack but strangely more comfortable. I could force me knees our far harder. I just felt much better in it aside from the lower back and hip problems. This Friday will be the last heavy squat before the comp. I need to be dialled in. I skipped this weeks lower assitance day to rest my back and hip. Fingers crossed.

    3x20 / 3x12

Get to the chiro and get that hip fixed. Dont sweat the accessory work. Just an off day. Lord knows I have them all the time it seems lol. With a week off before the meet, you should be ready to tear it up. Cant wait to see the Leviathon work for you.

I hope so Brian. Just staying positive will be a great start. I am looking forward to getting a rest before the meet. I will be chomping at the bit the whole time. Thanks man.
