The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Can you think of any songs on your workout playlist that don't have swearing?

I know, horribly lame, but I can submit a song to my school that they'll put on a giant playlist to play while i'm working out and since it's a school thing... no swearing allowed, I guess

I'm pretty sure every song on my itunes drops the f-bomb at least twice. So any suggestions? Remixes or mashups are certainly an option

Oh, and I could theoretically take the "radio edit" version of any song, but most of those sound awful. If you know of a decent one that works too

Gorgoroth- Carving a Giant. Actually, anything by them. Because you can't understand a damn word they're saying.

Most stuff by Skrillex won't have any swearing. Aren't you in college? I'm surprised they are making such a big deal out of some swear words in a gym lol.

Right around :35 it gets ridiculous.

Saw him live a month or two ago. Unbelievable set- wish I could have the whole thing on my gym playlist.

Nicest dude I've met in the music industry on top of it all.

Just check out youtube for the clean versions of songs and just download the audio from them. Thats what I use to do at my school's gym.

Yes, and a state institution at that. I don't know why it's such a big deal.

Somewhat related, at my old school they didn't even play music in the gym because the faculty members that worked out there occasionally complained that the music was too loud / angry / obscene / whatever. So instead of playing lame music they just turned it off altogether.

could always go with christian music, that stuff rocks sometimes.

red, skillet and thousand foot crutch are my favorites. my wife doesn't like to play the mainstream stuff when I'm working out in the garage if our son is in there.

trapt and rise against both swear, but less frequently then most rock songs.

If you think about it, most metal doesn't have cussing. Most bands that cuss in the lyrics might have 1 or 2 tracks with cussing on an entire album. Hip hop is different. 3/4 of that stuff couldn't exist without n****r and f**k every 10 seconds.

Iron Maiden, Megadeth, most Slayer, Amon Amarth, most Rob Zombie, ACDC, Accept, Blind Guardian, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Dio, The Sword, etc. The list goes on and on. All depends on what genre(s) you're into.

Mrelwooddowd is spot on with his comment, though. 90+% of the metal I listen to has no swearing. I find it's generally the awful nu-metal/whatever-core garbage that has excessive profanity, likely because they can't write decent lyrics.
