    Yes. Going to bench over 450lbs. this time if things go alright.

    I will be there Saturday and Sunday too. Two of my friends, one driving there with me and the other I'm helping, will be lifting on Sunday.

    Today was not a great day. Felt tired today and everything felt pretty slow warming up. Wanted to do 325+88lbs.chain for 3, but after 1, felt like I would only get 2. So I decided to stop at 1 and just do another single. Couldn't finish the last one, but think I was just tired already, because the one before was more than easy enough for a single to get a single only 20lbs. heavier. I think at this point I shouldn't be missing a 433 at the top, even after triples for work sets. Going to switch to something else, maybe bands or straight weight next week, instead of another week of chains. Going to do upper back work more than 2 days before next time also.

    Deadlift was pretty good. Knee is still improving slowly. Knee felt unstable with lockout on the 2nd rep of 445 (the lockout wasn't that easy on the second rep) so stopped there today. Everything else felt fine before and after though. Looking to get to 500 for a few on this without a belt before pulling off the floor again. I think it is definitely doable in the next 2 months.

    Benching felt good today. I thought it was best to take a break from full-range for a week. 435 was an easy double, should have did 3 probably but I had told my spotter I was doing 2 reps on that set. 435 actually felt no harder than 415. Benching feels good for 8 weeks out. I'm confident in 451 or more being no problem at the meet.

    Also, I tried a different denim shirt today then the other ones I've tried (several of them are too small on me now), and it was actually not bad. Today was mostly just trying it out and touching 3-board and 2-board with lighter weight. I will try it again in a few weeks and probably go over 500lbs. to a 1-board next time.

    345x5 still felt a little bit unstable but not bad. Overall I'm happy my knee continues to improve. I think the 5s are feeling better to warmup more than 3s, so I will continue with 5s for awhile. Looking forward to 4pps for reps again in the near future (I consider that the start of going heavier again as 415x5 with no belt was my usual last set on lighter squat days last year). I'm hoping to do that shortly before or after I compete in bench in February.

    Good bench today. 445 was slower than I wanted it to be, but still got it. I was happy with a PR after a decently heavy double though.

    Taking next week off benching. Felt a little bit sore still today as it was a day or two earlier than I usually have been benching because of the holiday.     Green bands were setup to take off about 100lbs. at the bottom and let go completely a little before lockout. This was also on a 7ft. gym bar today with no knurling, because other people were using the deadlift bar.

    I decided to change my deadlifting to something else for a few weeks. This was pretty good for not deadlifting heavy in awhile. A bunch of the mats were missing somewhere so this had to be a deficit instead of being able to make the plates start even with the raised bottom of the power rack. My knee was only in a little sore after the 545. Everything else didn't bother it at all. So that was probably the most important.

    This was by far some of the best shoulder pressing I have done ever. My best previous was 275x8 and 325x2 on the same smith machine for comparison. I really want to do a seated barbell shoulder press at some point in the near future. I think mid-300s might be pretty easy. I do have to say that I used a preacher curl stand to sit against today and it felt way better than the narrow upright/incline benches they have.

    Those bands are not easy. These were slightly bigger than the ones I used last training cycle that I did bands. They should add around 200lbs. at the top, or close to it. Off the chest felt easy every set, but lockout got hard with over 300lbs. on the bar plus the bands. 2 more heavy bench days left before the meet.

    I am working on a little bit wider stance (conventional still of course) that I can get down a little better with instead of always pulling nearly completely stiff-legged. This was my first time pulling off the floor straight weight in quite awhile too. The weights all felt pretty good. My knee still felt unstable a bit on the 435 and 465 sets. I wasn't too happy about that, but it wasn't real bad. I should be able to beat my best triple without a belt (505x3) sometime in the near future though, but it will wait until after the meet at least.

    I've been toying with opening up a little on my stance while staying conventional too. I feel more stable with a little wider stance, liking it so far.

    It is a little more comfortable to get down. That's about all I think about it so far. Will see more when I pull heavier in the near future.

    These bands were heavier than I thought (they look about the size of light bands but significantly less stretchy and slightly thicker). I set them up with 130lbs. dumbbells on each side, and they started to pick up the dumbbells when at the top (so we put a plate on each one to hold it down). So from that I figured they added just under 260lbs. to the top (maybe 250lbs. or so would be correct). 285+250lbs or so was pretty good I thought locking out mid-500s raw. I thought these bands were a little bit too much tension to be used often though, because they feel a little too unstable until the weight on the bar starts to exceed the band tension. The heaviest set probably felt the best in that way, but I think I really need to be benching at least 500lbs. or more straight weight to use these bands with heavier bar weight.

    Squats were good today. Knee felt good throughout all of the sets. I'm happy with that as 415x3 was my goal by around the time I competed in February, either a little before or after, for it to feel normal again with at least that weight (which hasn't been the case since fall of 2012). Weight felt easy still as well. I will probably either squat or pull one more time next week, then not again till a week or two after the bench meet. After that, I will start working up to mid-500s for reps without a belt over the next few months.
