Looking ready to rock!
I will see you at the meet Brian. I probably won't be there really early, probably near the end of squats or beginning of benches.
Best competition lifts:
650lbs. raw squat
435lbs. raw bench
580lbs. raw deadlift
1650lbs. raw total
Looking strong as hell on all 3 Brian good luck and have a great time at the meet!
Pitiful Bench-Jockey for life
Finally made it back just in time to wish you good luck at the meet. Keep us updated!
Weighed in exactly 110kgs/242.5lbs without having to water load or cut any weight, first time in years!
Since this is my first meet without sleeves or wraps, everything's a PR . But of course, I'm aiming to beat my best @ 242 which is 1815. It's going to be a long day with 77 lifters (I think...)and mixed with geared and raw lifters. Should be a fun meet with a lot of big numbers. I'll update everyone as soon as I can.
Good luck, Bri! Go out there and kill it

Thanks guys! Since the update, we lost a few posts, so i'll go back to my other logs and paste what I've been doing.
The meet went well, not how I wanted to end the year, but I'm still happy with the results. 3-4 weeks out I decided to lose weight and start a diet that will help me do that. So I got with Tim Gale from the Jersey Iron crew and he set me up and got me on the way towards a goal I wanted to accomplish at weigh-ins. After 3 weeks of dieting, I lost 8lbs with no cardio. I weighed in at exactly 242lbs which was the goal and was able to bench a 5lb PR. I know it doesn't sound like much, but this is the first meet where I didn't have to water load or change the way I eat the week of the meet. I kept eating exactly how I was eating the previous two weeks. So I owe him and Tone a big thanks!!! As for the meet, I finished with a 633 squat (no wraps or sleeves), 440 bench (5lb PR), 727 deadlift (5lb PR). Ended with an 1800 total @ 242 w/o sleeves or wraps. Since this was my first meet under those rules, this will be a PR by default. Thanks to Chris Mason from AtLarge Nutrition, Ken Anderson from Anderson Powerlifting, Tone Barbaccio and Tim Gale from Jersey Iron, Justin Cobb from New Dimensions, and Scott Lamb from Vanilla Gorilla Strength Athletics.
Done-First day back, just going to take it nice and easy the next two weeks. I'm 17 weeks out from RUM7, so I'm not looking to burn myself out right now. I've also been off my diet the last two weeks. I'm not really worried about it since I'm waking up around 244. I'll get back at it probably next week or the week after.
Close grip bench press
3 sets of 20
Single arm band pushdowns
100 reps total
Pushups w/EFS blast straps
Done-Another light day, so nothing too exciting. Just going through the motions. Next week I'll bump the weights up a little.
4 sets of 20
1 set of 50
Snatch grip block pulls
Olympic squat w/SSB
3 sets of 20
3 sets of 6
Seated shoulder presses
DB incline presses
Single arm band Pushdowns
Diesel crew 21's
Thanks a lot Tim!!!
Wide stance GM's w/Cambered bar
Leg extensions (single leg)
3 sets of 15
Done...Bumped the weights up a little. But didn't want to push it too hard because next week I'll be starting my 15 week meet prep for RUM7. I got a pair of SBD knee sleeves coming in sometime this week from Ken and I'm really looking forward to trying them out.
Flat DB presses
Done...I bumped the weights up about 20%. I was going to go a little heavier, but since i'm starting my meet prep next week, I decided to stay at 275. Other then that, just a fast and to the point workout. I got it all done in just under an hour.
You'll be jonesing for some heavier work by next week.
Awesome job at the meet Brian!!!
I read your approach to this last meet, but I might have missed what I am going to ask you. What is the goal weight wise? Compete in the 220's eventually?
