pullin and squattin on the same day sounds brutal!
All armies ever to have marched,
All ships ever to have sailed the seas,
    All parliaments that ever sat,
    All kings that ever reigned,
...have not had such a profound influence on the people of this planet
as did this carpenters life! JESUS YOU REIGN!

I know what you mean about the weights feeling heavy, seems like that has been my situation for 3 months.

How long do you rest between squats and deadlifts? My Friday work is always a 75-85% squat for low reps, then heavy pulls, but I feel like the proverbial pile of proverbial after my heavy squats on Tuesday.

I used to blog more personal stuff and such over at Live Journal, but I have been so busy lately that my online socializations are nearly nonexistent. It is hard enough to just keep my training log up to date. I have been attempting to keep more videos up, but half the time I forget my camera rushing out of the house. Need to get a video editor as well, but it just never seems to be high on my priority list.

It can be brutal thats for sure, lol. But well worth it IMO!!! My first time doing it, the heaviest I pulled in training was 615x1 and I pulled 672 in competition. This time the heaviest I pulled in the gym was 655x1 and I pulled 700 in competition.

I usually rest about 2 minutes between warm-up sets and about 3-5 minutes between my working sets.

    Change of plans....

OK, I know I said that I was going to train 3 days/week. But I have been thinking about throwing my speed sessions back in the mix. I will still consider them to be an upper and lower accessory day. Now that I have the gym going in the garage, I should have time to work these in. I'll start this week and see how it goes. I'm going to focus on doing high reps/light weight, that way I don't get burned out.

Another good session at home. So far i'm loving it and hopefully it will stay that way, lol. So from now on, i'll be doing my training at home. I still have to go and get my 4" blocks from the gym.

This is what my accessory day will look like. I'll switch up some of the movements, but here is an idea of what i'll be doing.

I did have a freak moment when I unracked my last set of close grips. I'm not sure if it was the bands or how I had my grip. But once I pressed up to unrack the weight, the bar rolled forward and scared me, lol. I need to watch that for next time.

Lifting at home is the way to go. It would be nice to have one or two training partners that could help with heavier sessions. It is tough finding those individuals you're willing to invite to your home that you can count on to be there for the sessions.

I know, so far I like it. I have a pretty good partner, but sometimes he can't make it to train because of work. But there has been some sessions where he came in just to help me and not train. So I won't complain.

Yeah, it was a little different with that bar but not bad. That was my first time doing any type of squatting with that bar. I like it....but my grip is crazy close so it's a little awkward but I was fine after a few sets.

You have to put at least a couple more plates on it the next time that you squat heavy. Then tell me how much you like the bar, lol.
