    Done...Today I decided to start doing some close grip board presses. I use to grip the bar, thumb length from the smooth but now I'm gripping the bar one hand grip inside my normal bench grip. I got that from Donnie Thompson and Rob Luyando, two of the greatest benchers in the game...so they must know something, lol. I'm also going to do more shoulder presses to hopefully help my bench press. Other then that, I had a great workout. My bodyweight this morning was 255, which is pretty heavy for me in the morning.

    Whats the benefit of the 2 board with close grip? further isolation of the tri's?

    Thanks!!! The 2 board takes less stress off the pecs and shoulders and for me it hits my triceps alot harder. I like using a 2 and 3 board because the length of my arms.

    Done...I finally hit 3 reps with 405...I haven't done 3 reps with 405 in awhile. It's not a PR for me, but I'm really happy. My pec didn't bother me as much, but I was still nervous when I got to 405. I think the pec issue came from doing all the dead presses, so i'll stop doing them for awhile and see what happens. Tomorrow is a big day because i'm squatting at 95% and pulling @ 90%, I won't be going for any squat PR's because i'm going to try and pull a rep PR. As long as my grip is feeling good than my goal would be to pull 640x4.

    Thanks a lot guys!!! I'm trying to figure this pec issue out, I'm not sure what I should do. I started to ice it yesterday and I was able to ice it once today. So we'll see what happens.

    Done...I changed up some things today at the last minute and it worked out pretty good. I decided to do 2 sets of 2 instead of 4 singles with my squat. Just so I can cut out 2 sets, lol. I also bumped up my deadlift weight 5lbs and I still pulled the 4 reps that I wanted. So overall I had a great day...considering the fact that I really wanted to crawl back into bed, lol. This is my last heavy week before I test my 1RM. Next week I will squat and bench @ 80% and I will do some suspended GM's instead of deadlifts.

    Excellent PR Brian. I'm always amazed at how you can lift heavy when absolutely wiped out. I don't understand how you do it. I see you pulling anywhere from 715 to 730 lbs!!!!
